The Herds by Avotein Farms is our livestock unit focused on goats and sheep.

It adds a new layer to Avotein’s sustainable farming model by creating commercial livestock opportunities while supporting a more balanced farm ecosystem. The unit focuses on professional herd management, selective breeding, animal health, biosecurity, and sustainable production.

Vision

To build a professionally managed livestock unit that diversifies Avotein’s agricultural income, improves land use, supports soil health through organic manure, and creates a scalable goat and sheep enterprise in Central Uganda.
