Avotein operates approximately 70 acres with around 11,000 Hass avocado trees and has become Uganda’s leading Hass avocado exporter. The company also achieved a major national milestone by becoming the first Ugandan company to export a full reefer container of fresh Hass avocados to Europe.

The business profile states that Avotein began with airfreight shipments, expanded into local retail, and then became the first company to execute a reefer container shipment of fresh Hass avocados out of Uganda.
